Birth of Smashin' Bass

Growing up in the picturesque landscape of Dunnville, Ontario on the shores of Lake Erie, I was exposed to the vibrant fabric of small-town life where my passion for everything outdoors - but especially fishing was ignited. My father, played an important role in fostering my passion for fishing; he had me in a boat while I was still is a car seat! Needless to say, from a young age, I developed a love for fishing and a deep appreciation for spending time near the water. As time went on, I honed my skills and developed a knack for Smashin' bass. 

 

In the early spring of 2023, I found myself standing by the edge of Lake Erie, fishing rod in hand, and a deep passion for bass fishing burning within. The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, casting a warm glow on the water's surface and it was in this moment of solitude and reflection that the idea for "Smashin' Bass" was born. Fueled by a lifelong love for fishing and a desire to share that passion with the world I began making plans to come up with a fishing brand that resembled what I loved doing the most like so many other's do as well.

 

However, in March of 2020 my life took an unexpected turn; I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Life as I knew it changed immediately. No longer able to enjoy the sport I loved so dearly I turned my sights on stewardship, sharing my knowledge of the water and fishing and designing apparel that encompasses my love of this action packed sport. I recognize the importance of style and affordability, comfort, versatility and self expression and would love to share my creative ambitions with you.
